Cai England, Head Chef at the Piercefield St Arvans
Cai began his culinary career as a pot washer aged twelve. He was always watching the chef to learn as much as he could. At fourteen he moved to the Piercefield as a pot washer. Here he began to help with starters and desserts, his first taste of commercial cooking.
At sixth form he passed his exams with flying colours and was accepted into all his university choices. However, Cai had always had a passion for cooking and knew that a career as a chef was his calling. He carried on moving up the ranks cooking in pretty much all of the pubs in Chepstow.
Time came when he had an opportunity to return to the Piercefield. Through hard work and determination he has worked his way up to the position of Head Chef.
